WikiLeaks is a wiki such as Wikipedia or the one we are writing on now that is used to post classified or secret documents, videos, and other forms of media by anonymous users. It is a very controversial site that has caused an uproar in government. Some organizations look at the wiki as being a positive news source for the American people to see what the government is doing behind the scenes, while others have argued that it is a threat to our national security. WikiLeaks is famous for posting videos from Iraq and Afghanistan. Back in April of 2010, a video was posted on WikiLeaks showing U.S. troops killing Iraqi civilians. If you check out the WikiLeaks homepage you will see under the "mirrors" tab that they are "currently under heavy attack" because of the paranoia from the government. That is why they have so many mirror sites, 1426 to be exact, which are duplicate sites to control the traffic flow of users and keep the site up and running. For more basic information on WikiLeaks you can check out the WikiLeaks Wikipedia page or if you really want to, you can dive into the classified information being released on the WikiLeaks page by clicking on the link above.
